Sports News: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India Under-19 team for the tour of Australia. The tour will be held in September 2025, in which the Indian youth team will play three ODIs and two multi-day matches. 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been retained in the team due to his excellent performance on the England tour. At the same time, Ayush Mhatre has once again been given the captaincy of the team. He also led the team on the England tour, and under his captaincy, India won the ODI series 3-2, while the Test series was a draw.
India's Under-19 team will leave for Australia on September 21. The series will begin on September 2, and the first multi-day match will be played in Mackay. The three ODIs will be held from September 30 to October 3, while the second multi-day match will start on October 7, which will again be played in Mackay.
Many players from the England tour have been retained in the team. These include Rahul Kumar, Harvansh Singh, RS Ambrish, Kanishk Chauhan, Henil Patel, D. Deepesh, Anmoljit Singh, and Naman Pushpak. With the experience and confidence of these players, the team is expected to perform better in Australia.
All three one-day matches will be held in Norths, while the multi-day matches will be held in Mackay. Balance and continuity have been given priority in team selection so that young players get a better opportunity to perform abroad.
